I love that "cropped" Kingfisher photo. What a beautiful bird. The color is so vibrant. I'll be sure to check back again.mjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15603623096191801349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-48874533619441864202008-11-02T16:11:00.000+00:002008-11-02T16:11:00.000+00:00Hi Eve, I can't swim anyway, so wouldn't have the ...Hi Eve, I can't swim anyway, so wouldn't have the opportunity to get closer at that point! (-: I write my text and then add the photos, they all get put at the top of the post and then I have to drag them to where I want them. Do you put your photos in first last and then write around them?

Hi Alan, ah, but you've had some amazing photos of your Tassie birds that I'm insanely jealous of. Thanks for the thumbs up, will definitely hope to improve on that though.

Hi Christine, thanks for the boost to the ego. No I can't shoot in raw with my Nikon D40X, but I shoot it on 'fine'. Any reason for asking?Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01633626482754161886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-70389097139239887152008-10-31T15:24:00.000+00:002008-10-31T15:24:00.000+00:00Kingfishers make a sport of being elusive. Keep in mind that many of the best birding photos are done at reserves or zoos. At least that is what I've read. PS: Jenny do you shoot in raw format?Quiet Pathshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00758542150832581706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-83961720173869918782008-10-31T12:49:00.000+00:002008-10-31T12:49:00.000+00:00Not having ever managed to photograph a kingfisher...Not having ever managed to photograph a kingfisher myself, I'll give you the thumbs up.Mosurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14786494432479216149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-87193666095187656522008-10-30T22:40:00.000+00:002008-10-30T22:40:00.000+00:00Now Jenny first let me say that Roy never said the...Now Jenny first let me say that Roy never said the word "awful" when he said go ahead and post away!! Ha Ha!! He is too much a gentleman for those terms!! Ha Ha!! I think you did very well with your photo, I mean look at the distance you were at...any closer and you would have to swim with your camera!! I just love that Kingfisher you have...what a beautiful shine! Reminds me of a hummingbird!
About being able to see your photos bigger...do you put them in the new post and then change the order? If I do that then I can not seem them larger if I click on them. I always put my pictures in last picture first and work my way to the first picture I want. Let me know if that may have been the problem.
Great work girl!Evehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06554593974838511759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-61273054499341429212008-10-30T22:38:00.000+00:002008-10-30T22:38:00.000+00:00Have emailed with suggestions on how to cure that ...Have emailed with suggestions on how to cure that Jen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-69297271089829362982008-10-30T21:05:00.000+00:002008-10-30T21:05:00.000+00:00Hi Mary, it was funny that both Roy and I had phot...Hi Mary, it was funny that both Roy and I had photographed Kingfishers in the last few days. Glad you got the recipe.

Hi Roy, I've noticed that other peoples photos can be enlarged, but I'm not sure how to set that up. Do you have any thoughts on that?Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01633626482754161886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-38175212923596457142008-10-30T20:35:00.000+00:002008-10-30T20:35:00.000+00:00Hey Mary, birding with Jenny, "I should be so luck...Hey Mary, birding with Jenny, "I should be so lucky".

Hi Jen,
They are a good start really and better than my previous effort. When anyone clicks on your blog photos they don't enlarge for some reason. If they did enlarge we could see the image closer. It must be the way you have it set.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9086807027793960790.post-29624998974753866952008-10-30T19:44:00.000+00:002008-10-30T19:44:00.000+00:00I saw those shots and thought you and Roy must hav...I saw those shots and thought you and Roy must have been birding together! Lovely! I don't think they are awful at all. It would be wonderful if all birds would come and sit down in front of us and pose, but that doesn't happen. Catching a bird in motion like that is hard! My camera would not have even been in focus by the time I took the photo. I did get the recipe today...thanks!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02890796903959709429noreply@blogger.com
