Sky Watch Friday - Mooning around.

These moon photos were taken while walking around my local nature reserve in Frome, Somerset. It was a gorgeous crisp blue sky day. One where you can't help smiling and feel it's good to be outside.
Many thanks to the Skywatch team who make all this possible. For more Skywatch photos from all around the world, please click on the icon to the right of this post.

I'm so impressed at your incredible close ups of the moon! Wow! You must have a high powered camera. Aloha from Hawaii. Have a great weekend.

Hi Snap Catch, thanks for dropping in, I've just popped in to see you too.

Hi Kay. My camera isn't particularly powerful. I took that main photo with my zoom lens and then cropped the photo on the computer. It was a lovely day and I was pleased to get some moon shots.

The first one lets you see the texture of the moon. Well taken.

That moon is magnificent, especially the top shot.

Interesting to see the zoom and panview. Are there some days you can see the daytime moon better than others? I wonder what makes the difference?
