This photo was taken up in Queensland, Australia back in October/November 2005. We were sitting down for a spot of lunch at Mount Malloy when an inquisitive Blue-faced Honeyeater came along to check us out! Luckily, I seemed to have my little point and shoot Nikon Coolpix everywhere with me on that holiday! (-:

I'm happy you shared this; it is a jewel of a photo. It's framed perfectly. What a handsome bird. Or she?
Nice shot. Well done and happy SWF :-)
I think a quick getaway to Australia is lovely! Thanks for the photo. ;-)
Happy Sky Watch!
I think you made a wise choice. What a beauty.
Very nice - a 2nd Mrs. Wren! :)
Great Capture - so are the reflections below!
Cheers, Klaus
I've had less than inspiring skies, too--such is the season upon us.
These are great reflection photographs. this time of year is so good for reflection photos, been out taking some myself.
What a neat bird! Very attractive! And with lovely blue sky to post for us :-) Hope your skies at home clear soon.
Hi there
I have to say first what a great 'Header' to your blog...
Your Sky Watch picture is a beauty.. I've never heard or seen of one of these so it's great to learn something new today...
I spent some time browsing and really enjoyed my visit today.. if I get more time after Sky Watch I must call back for more...
I thank you for joining in with the fun of Sky Watch this week

I love his little white vest Jenny!! We haven't had much sun either...hope it brightens up for you!
fantastic what a lovely shot!
Very nice sky and beautiful bird.
I really liked that eerie photo of the fog in the previous post.

:-) I wasn't expecting to find a Blue-faced Honeyeater in here. Nice one!
Yup, those honeyeaters got me trigger happy up in Q'land too.
I love it when the "bird watchers" are the birds watching us. Great photo. I hope you'll share more from that trip.
Jenny: I don't know if I did it correctly, but I just "stole" the Skywatch logo photo by right clicking on it and saving it. Then under "add a gadget" on my own blog, I added it as a picture to the sidebar and used their URL with it turning it into a link. If you learn an easier way, let me know! I've never figured out how to put it in my blog post or make words work as a link like other people do. If this doesn't make sense, than ask Klaus...he can tell you probably better than I can!
Hi Jen,
Its always a good idea to have a compact digital in your pocket. That looks like a Magpie with a blue and white head {:)
Hi all
Thanks very much for leaving such lovely comments. and yes Wren, I shall be posting more of my Oz trip, probably in the depths of winter when I'm struggling to get some posts up on the blog!
Pretty bird and beautiful colours!
