There's certainly lots to sniff out there! She liked to slink amongst our various pots, her little nose quivering for all it's worth! Then the irresistible lure of the Cherry tree! She's been running up our curtains indoors for the past two months, so we're hoping that now she has some trees to climb up, our curtains will get a break! We can hope...... (-: It's great fun on the way up...... ....nice view of her domain from up there........ .......not so easy on the way back down though...... .......all sets of claws needed for this operation........ ....nearly there....... .......legs everywhere........ Not bad for a first outing. Since then she's got alot more confident and has explored next door too. I'm not sure she's met up with any of her feline neighbours yet though......an adventure yet to come!

Oh Dear Jen,
I can hear the Fire Service sirens already "Cat stuck up a tree?"
Hi Roy, the way she gets up and down our curtains, I don't think we'll need the fire brigade......I hope! (-:
Oh I enjoyed this! What fun. She is a good climber too thank goodness. Our Finn, when she was about that age decided to climb the elm tree one cold January night when it was below zero (F) and was stuck there for 16 hours until a neighbor helped me get her down. It was awful.
I love her! She looks like she is having a wonderful time learning about her new world. One of my cats did get stuck up a tree in someone else's yard when she was a kitten....I attempted to go up a ladder after her, but couldn't get high enough (well over 20+ feet up!) Finally gave up and waited all night before she managed to get down and come home. She was so tiny and I think she might have eventually partly fallen out of the tree. She scratched an eye and had to have the eye closed and a button sewn on...honest....until it healed! The button held the inner eyelid shut to protect the eye.
I have a feeling Poppy will be Queen of the Kingdom! Hence, Poppy of the Dom! Tell her to behave and before long you'll have a sweet garden helper!
Hi Christine, ho hum! Perhaps we have that pleasure to look forward to!
Hi Mary! Wow! That sounds painful! She is a minx with our curtains still, but very affectionate too.
Hi Evie
I have a feeling that help is not what she's going to be! (-:
It's wonderful to see the kitty's excitement as they explore their new world! My kitty just discovered snow yesterday.
Hi Shelley
There's something really special about seeing your kitten go out exploring for the very first time. Apparently, while I was up at the Mum's last week, Poppy 'found' our pond. Sunk in up to her neck and scrambled out again. Wish I'd been there with the camera! (-:
