Waiting in vain.....

When I was out in the garden the other day, apart from helping me with the pruning, Poppy decided that this was a great place for a spot of bird watching! I think she has alot to learn yet!

Do you think they'll notice me?I think she's spotted a bird in this photo, but it was keeping its distance thank goodness! Chris made me this bird table as a surprise birthday present many moons ago. It's weathered well.

Hey Jen,
She has got a lot to learn about camouflage and concealment that Cat.

Jenny, Miss Poppy is such a sweet little kitty. Emma Lou is very envious as she is an indoor kitty only.

Hi Shelley, I'm hoping she wont learn to be much better! (-:

Hi Evie, yes that second one was very cheeky, glad I caught it.

Hi Roy, as I said to Shelley, I hope she doesn't learn too much! Loving cats and birds is always going to present problems for me.

Hi Julie, Miss Poppy, I like that and will start using it. Miss Poppy says Hi to Miss Emma Lou. (-:

These are funny! What a character she is :-) I'd say that's a good view point, but a little too close for comfort for the birds. I had a cat that used to climb up in the feeder like that and then he would fall out trying to get back down...not a very smart cat, but I loved him. Some people think all cats do is kill birds, but my cats so seldom kill one that I don't really worry about it. A bird has to be pretty slow and dumb to get caught, so think of it as "survival of the fittest" in action. Kitties like stuff that comes in cans and bags and is hand delivered at their convenience :-)

Hoho! How delightful. Now that is hopeful thinking in essence. Great post, Jenny. I too hope our Zoe won't be a good birder but I am afraid she will be.

Hi Mary, yes she is full of sauce! She's a bit clumsy on occasion too. KT are old cat wasn't a birder at all, but this one seems just a bit too interested for my liking, we shall see.

Hi Christine, is Zoe still making progress in being more sociable? Would love an update on her progress sometime.

Jenny, I am putting together an update on Zoe; hope to post it on the weekend. I just love these shots of Poppy. I bet our two would have a grand time together; mind the china!

Hi Chris, yes, I'm glad she's a black and white, I'll have to get her a collar with a bell on it I think. Glad it made you laugh, she makes us laugh alot! (-:
