First frost.

A change in wind direction from the usual westerlies to a blast from the north has caused a decided nip in the air and we've had our first real frost of the winter here in Frome.
This gave me some nice photo opportunities while taking a walk around Rodden Reserve. Here are some grass seeds and leaves touched by the frost and the early morning sun.

Hi Jen,
The leaves in particular make nice images. We had a frost this morning as well (so I'm told). The streets were aired by the time I ventured out.

So lovely. One could print out and frame each one of these making beautiful room accents. I love ice lace like this and you have such a goods eye for it.

Hey Jen,
Just shows I wasn't paying full attention. Super new header photo and very appropriate.

Jenny, Oh my! You did change the header photo. Perfect! Dang, I need to wake up today. I want to send you the original photo you asked about. OK I email it to you so you know its coming. It will be a smaller version.... Christine

Hi Roy, if I'd got out a bit earlier, I would have had more opportunities with the leaves, but the sun was taking over the day by the time I got there.

Hi Christine, glad you and Roy like the new header, I'm quite chuffed with it and think I'll keep it there for a while, thanks for offering to e-mail that picture, I'll look forward to receiving it.

Great shots! A relation was telling me they had some heavy snow up in Ross-shore yesterday but it melted later in the day. Winter is on it's way. Beautiful and sunny here lately :-)

Brrrr.....but lovely! I don't mind a little frost if it goes away later in the day with some nice sunshine :-)

I'm as bad as Roy! If I hadn't read his comment I would have missed the new header, too! That is a terrific shot...you finally got the wonderful shot you wanted of a Wren!

Hi Evie
I'll let you keep your snow, but thanks for the thought! (-: That reminds me, I love your new bluebird header (I'm just as bad!)

Hi Alan, it never lasts that long over here as you know. I envy you your spring just coming on!

Hi Mary, that's just what happened, the sun soon made the frost disappear except from the most shady spots. Glad you like the little Winter Wren.
